First blog posts are tricky. I’ve a few firm favourite blogs out there whose new posts I’d always keep in tune with, and a few times I’ve tried to navigate my way back to their very first ones. These are the blogs with a massive number of followers, hundreds of aesthetically pleasing photos, comments from around the world clogging the screen, and their own certain writing styles which have developed along with their now super popular and well-known site. So much so, that its quite difficult to find their first posts; I think I’ve only found them once or twice.
Given therefore that I have not been able to source inspiration on the first post dilemma even in the top ranking homes of blog hierarchy, there’s not much I can do other than jump straight in.
This isn’t my first blog. The summer after 5th year of secondary school, having discovered the blogging world, I started one with a vision pretty much the same as for this one; though after a tame shower of posts 6th year arrived and I suddenly no longer had a life. Looking back at my folders from it, some of the pictures are terrible, some accidentally impressive, the writing not bad. Now I want back in, I’ve decided not to continue my last blog but to start a fresh one, with a bit of continuity and consistency as motivation!
Really wanting to refrain from the ‘So what’s the blog about?’ self-declarative statement right now. So I’ll just use that recognition of its cringeyness as my intro, and hope you’ll all find the answer somewhere amongst the barrage of posts which I am currently scheming.
