I intentionally didn’t include any written entries for my first few posts: the photos tell the stories themselves. Its now also quite obvious that I’m a bit mad about France. I’ve been going to the Dordogne every year since I was 9 and now keep going back to work during the summer, somehow also managing to fall into the most absurd adventures around the country at the same time. In September, I actually planned on moving my whole life over there; I’d started a new course, was reveling in the cheap rent of beautiful city center French apartments, immersed in the most beautiful language in the world.
Quite the contrast to my current situation of the self-inflicted dull and dolefully hopeless monotony of Schols study.
But hey, study needs fuel (I tend to take advantage of this quite a lot). Also, I’d probably collapse two hours after waking in the morning if I don’t eat breakfast. Smoothie solution!
Anyone who knows me can testify to my smoothie fantatic-ness. These things are just wonder blends. Such a great way to get heaps of good stuff in your belly (especially for veggies and vegans…and those who just prefer pureed forms of food?). The above berriness is fairly tame compared to other concoctions of mine, but what I love about base fruits is that they are adaptable to so many superfoods I may have at hand or choose to chuck in; bliiiitzzz and in a few gulps, energy just flowsss and pumps through you.
The weather has been changing all month and now we’re hit that harsh ice cold. After doing a photoshoot barefoot it Phoenix Park this morning, Winter kindly affirmed this. As if cycling in November and December wasn’t enough to convince me…I always say, you can be naked on a bike, as long as you have gloves. (Though I definately needed more than gloves this morning, the low temperatures seriously interfered with my getting in touch with inner Cathy-ness as I romped through the moors of North Dublin).
